"I think its simply a money making idea.
You will be destroying the peace and tranquilty of AONB with a theme park.
You can not control the number of people who just turn up so although you say 60 per hour the reality will be more vehicles.
The number of local jobs will be minimum., perhaps 10 maximum of 15? and again you cant say to someone from chester or the wirral oh you cant work here your too far away i think employment law forbids that.
Those who currently use the area enjoy the wilderness and the 'away from it all' feel. Your plans will reduce part of the North slopes area to a minor road in an Alton Towers theme park.
Please find somewhere different that doesnt negatively impact so many people.
I dont blame go-Ape so much as the forestry commission - what are they thinking?"

"We fully support your plans to build "Zip Wild" in this location. My wife & I have tackled 5 of your courses so far and we both agree that the zip wire part of each course is the most fun. Last year we tackled your course in Aberfoyle (Scotland) which has the longest zip wire (426m) and it was brilliant. For those who object to the proposal it appears to be the classic case of "not in my back yard". They are happy for such sites to be built in other forests, so long as it is not the one they regularly visit. From what I have observed the Go Ape company acts responsibly, in conjuction with the Forestry Commission, to ensure that the local habitat is protected and remains largely unspoilt. Having walked in the Moel Famau area I cannot see how this new attraction will spoil the overall beauty of the area. We hope your are successful with your planning application and look forward to receiving details of when it will open.

"I would love to have a go at 'zip wild' when it is open for business! "

"What a horrible idea! Take two things I really love (Go Ape and Moel Famau) and combine them to make an awful tragedy! I love Go Ape at Delamere and I love peaceful walks at Moel Famau. I'm sure, having heard the constant noise at Delamere (and having joined in the screaming myself!) that days of peace will no longer be possible around Moel Famau. I for one will never visit a Go Ape course or Moel Famau again if this proposal goes ahead. I don't see how driving away the many hundreds of people who visit Moel Famau daily for some peace and quiet would be good for local business! Noise travels really far around there... at least in the forest the trees keep the noise from travelling quite so much. This is the saddest proposal for transforming a beautiful environment I've seen in a while. Please Go Ape... Go Away!"

"The Zip Wild idea sounds fantastic. I have now been to three different Go Ape sites in England... I plan on doing the rest too, when I get round to it. I was planning on Eberfoyle this summer, as I like the idea of the two massive Zip lines, however, after hearing about Zip Wild, I think I might just change my plans and head over to Wales. I can't wait for it to open. The sooner the better, I'm planning my holiday/go ape jaunt in about 4 weeks!!!"

"the people who are in support of this venture dont seem to realise that , yes it is a most beautiful place to come and visit because it has solitude and peace and quite you cannot hang glide up there with permission.
now this MONEY MAKING company wants to destroy this and turn it into a play ground for would be modern day tarzans. this is a place for people to walk and walk in peace so please just leave this place alone.
try somewhere else like a multi storey block of flats,
but of course then you couldnt ruin the environment
could you

"I would like to applaud the efforts of the Foestry commision and Go Ape to get people into our forest areas. They are beutiful and should be enjoyed by all..
The Zip Wild concept looks fantastic and i would definatley visit if a park opened. I have recenty completed the Go Ape course at Aberfoyle and the Zip Lines were the highlight.
Having said all this, the rapid expansion of Go Ape into more and more of our unspoilt forest is a concern. I question how important the proposed venue is to the sucess of the park. Would the Zip Wild concept still be as popular/profitable if it were in an urban landscape or in an already developed forest landscape."

"Hi Go Ape, the ideas for ZIP WILD sound absolutely brilliant. Having just completed Buxton, my first course and learned to trust the harness encouraged by my son, I want to do more. I love the idea about just zip wiring to appreciate the surroudings however will they be designed for/succum to speed or allow you you to have the time to look around you? I would also like to see more parks in the UK so you have choice in the same area and down towards Cornwall .
